The Sky is Falling

Well, friends, it happened. The sky has fallen, and the snow is coming down. It is so gorgeous. I am blessed to live in an older neighborhood with lots of trees, and there is something so majestic about the blanket of snow that we are under right now. Because it rained first and the temperature steadily dropped and turned it into snow, the flakes were the biggest, softest ones I've ever seen. My daughter Ada and I both enjoyed eating some snow--she for the first time, me for the first time in a long time.

Now she and her sister are asleep, her father is at work, and I am drinking some Earl Grey with lemon and cream and enjoying the view from inside. I certainly hope that you and your little ones enjoyed a special end-of-winter weather treat, that you got some beautiful pictures of it, and that you are now warm and cozy inside, too. Here are some of my pictures from the winter wonderland.
These are tulips my sister brought back to my grandfather from Europe, that he grew in his yard in Tennessee and I transplanted after he passed away. Special. The Radio Flyer gets some snow.My light-up dragonflies seem a little out of place with snow on their wings, don't you think?

Dolcemente,
Lindsay
